Format

All competitors will play each of the three courses during the period 15-17th September.

The main competition is an aggregate Stableford with prizes for the top 20 players over three rounds but there will also be daily competitions. Players must be 18 years and older, with a maximum handicap of 24 for men and 36 for ladies, while the maximum number of strokes given is 18 for men and 27 for ladies, per round. There are prizes for men and women.

All golfers must be members of a recognised golf club, or affiliated to their country’s governing body, and must present a current and active handicap certificate from their club on arrival (in accordance with World Handicapping System on arrival).

The Classic's organising team make every effort to make sure all golfers have a great few days and we are very pleased to have scored 100% satisfaction rate in the post event surveys. Golfers who enter with a friend or partner can choose to play together on some, or on all, of the 3 days, as preferred.  If not playing together, players will be given start times as close together as possible, on the same course.  For larger groups the limit is again 2 friends in each four ball but the group will be given, where possible, consecutive start times.

Prizes

There are 20 aggregate prizes for the tournament, including separate men's and women's competition, and an Over 65's prize.

There are also team prizes (4 players' aggregate scores for the three days) as well as daily prizes at each venue. Prizes for the 2023 Classic were supported by Titleist and worth £2000 and 2024 prizes to be announced shortly.
